Sometimes the ugliest ornaments are the most loved…or at least in my eyes. :) We were decorating my parent’s Christmas tree last Friday (a yearly tradition) and I, once again, hung what has been dubbed by my family “the ugliest ornament on the tree.”
But I love my little tattered sheep ornament (made probably when I was in 1st or 2nd grade myself)…and after investigating how it was made, decided it was worth making one with Little Brother too.
Here’s what you’ll need: 1 craft stick, 2 miniature clothespins, black paint, 2 googly eyes, ribbon, glue, and some batting (or lots of cotton balls).
1. If necessary, trim your craft stick to make it about the length of a small craft stick. Add the two clothespins at the bottom. You could glue them if you want (I didn’t).
2. Paint black.
Let it dry.
3. Add a googly eye on each side.
4. Add the batting by putting glue on the sheep’s body and then placing the batting on top. I honestly think cotton balls would be cuter…but we already used the batting. Oh well!
5. Add a ribbon on the head and a ribbon to hang.
I know we’ll appreciate this ugly little sheep for years to come!

too cute!
So cute! And such a simple craft to do!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Defintely making this. SO CUTE!
Not at all ugly – if you ask me! I think it’s adorable. None of the handmade ornaments are ever ugly. Now, the Hallmark plastic ones…well, that’s another matter.
