Toddler Time: Little Helper
Toddlers love to imitate and do what grown-ups do! Not only is this a great way to keep those busy little bodies out of trouble, it’s also kind of the beginning of “dramatic play”! Encourage your little one to be a “helper” around the house!
I’ve noticed Big Brother really loved to imitate me and his daddy when he was a toddler (before LB was born…when he was the only one). But Little Brother LOVES to imitate Big Brother *sigh*. I guess that’s why his favorite word these days is “MINE!”
When you have a cordless stick vacuum, your little one actually can vacuum! |
When cooking, let your little one have a bowl and spoon to play with. |
These boys LOVE to help unload clean laundry from the driver. |
Both boys are GREAT at helping clean up toys…we love to sing these songs while we work. Before I know it, I’ll be replaced in this household. :)
How do you encourage your little one to be a helper at home???
Henry loves to help around the house too! I try to find as many ways as I can to let him help (and it actually helps me)
I'd love for you to come play with us today at It's Playtime and link up this post.
