Clip the Color Activity for Toddlers

Clip the Color Toddler Activity

I have just about every “subset” of young children:  a school-aged child, a preschooler, and a baby. I don’t currently have a toddler at home, however, but I recently came across these colorful clips at the Dollar General and knew they would make a great (and simple) color activity for toddlers!

IMG_1084   This activity is also great for developing fine motor skills, since children have to use the small muscles in their fingers to open and close the clips. IMG_1074   IMG_1076     Here is my cute non-toddler finding matching colors for the clips! IMG_1092 IMG_1094

  1. I am enjoying your site. Such great and simple activities. I am always looking for ideas with my children but not looking for things that spend more time prepping than the actually activity

  2. That’s such a great idea! My two year old is really into colors right now, and sorting things by color, so this would be a great activity to try with him. Thanks for the fun activity!
