This activity was SO easy, SO quick, and SO fun! The end product is a really neat abstract-type painting!
Here’s what you’ll need: peach pits (washed and dried), paint, a piece of construction paper, and a 9×13 cake pan.

| Lay your piece of construction paper in the cake pan (you might have to trim it if it doesn’t lay flat). Add a few squirts of paint. |

| Give the cake pan to your child and encourage him to shake and tilt the pan in order to get the peach pits to flop around. (Sorry about the terrible bed head…such is life!) I suggest doing this outside just in case the painted pits accidentally fall out. :) |

I do this with marbles for our letter M art project. The kids love it! This looks great because I bet they don't roll around as much as the marbles do.
I love the texture that the peach pit gives and the rolling of the pit makes the roll unpredicable I'm sure, how fun.

We ate avocados today, thinking we’ll give this a try with the super large pits from them :)
This would be fun to do with an oatmeal canister or coffee can too. It would be neater for a rainy day.
