Slide Painting

I’ll be honest with you…this Slide Painting activity as part of our 31 Days of Indoor Fun for Toddlers series is not for the faint of heart. It was messy (as our pictures clearly show). But it was also really fun. :)
I first saw the idea for Slide Painting from Growing a Jeweled Rose, which was done outside using textured balls. We decided to try it indoors using cars.
Here’s what you’ll need:
-Cars
-A Plastic Tub
–A roll of butcher paper (we used ours from IKEA)
–A shower curtain liner (to put underneath the slide and plastic tub)
-Painter’s Tape
-Washable Paint

1. Put down your shower curtain liner and place the plastic tub at the bottom of the slide. Use the painter’s tape to attach the paper roll to the top of the slide.

2. Squirt some washable paint at the top of the slide.

3. Get your cars ready to slide!

Little Sister loved watching the cars drive down the slide!

Then she discovered paint on her hands and was momentarily

Like I said, it was pretty messy. :)
