On the fourth day of creation, God created the sun, moon, and stars. This day always intrigues me because God actually created light on the first day. However, all light derived at this point in time is from the sun, which wasn’t created until the fourth day! It reminds me that God is big enough and powerful enough to produce light from Himself alone!
Today we made a mobile to represent the fourth day of God’s creation.
2. Let your little one color both sides of the paper.
3. Next, let him/her cut out the shapes. Big Brother got frustrated with this after cutting out one star, so I just did the rest.
4. Cut a black piece of construction paper in half and then glue the two ends together.
5. Cut piece of yarn, enough for however many pictures you have.
6. Tape the yarn to the top. Then tape each picture onto the bottom of each piece of yarn. Tape two arcs at the top.
7. Glue (or tape) the ends of the black construction paper together.
8. Cut another small piece of yarn and then tie the two arcs of yarn together.
Here is the song to go along with this day (again, please excuse my terrible singing voice). Big Brother had a hard time saying all of the words quick enough. :)
