Make a Sand Castle Snack in 5 minutes

I crushed a whole box of Nilla Wafers by putting them in a large seal top plastic bag and rolling my rolling pin over top.

The crumbs resembled sand very closely.

I used Wilton nonstick spray on the inside of a clean (never been used) sandcastle mold I got at Target for less than $1. Toss in some crushed Nilla Wafers until it is well coated. This is what is going to allow your sandcastle to pop right out!

Start scooping in your choice of ice cream into the container. Use your spoon to compact it down so it gets the right shape. At this point you can go ahead and pop it right out to eat immediately. If you are making it ahead you can freeze it for up to 24 hours if you prefer.

Tinkerbell (2 years old) was impressed by our castle! I added a flag, chocolate chip rocks, sliver almond twigs, and more Nilla Wafer sand around the castle.

Now it was time to take our snack outside. Tinkerbell liked touching the “sand” but didn’t thing she should eat it. Minnie dived right in to show her!

It was as delicious a summer snack as it was fun!
