Lisa Leleu Puppet Show Books: Product Review and Giveaway

Lisa Leleu Studios has combined two childhood favorites:  puppets and books! These adorable books come with a removable hand puppet and a story to go along with the puppet character (who peaks through at the top of the book). Not only that, but the books also come with a removable Velcro “blank” book for your little one to write and draw their own story using the puppet (for older children of course).

These puppet books are truly versatile for children of all ages–from very young children all the way through upper elementary-aged. Big Brother is absolutely fascinated with Diggity the Dog and enjoys reading the book (with Mommy as the puppet, of course).

I enjoyed the story in the book (although the names of the siblings in the story were a bit hard to follow–Yankee, Doodle, and Dandy), but I REALLY loved the fact that children can make up their own stories once they’re old enough. What a wonderful creative writing activity! And the puppets remove from the book, so they offer a great opportunity for pretend play as well. These books allow reading to become truly interactive and fun.

There are currently four different characters in the puppet show playset series:  Diggity the Dog, Frenchie the Frog, Percilla the Gorilla, and Scooter the Cat. The puppet show playsets also come with a DVD of Lisa Leleu, a captivating and engaging storyteller, interacting with the puppets and reading the story.
