Prince Lionheart BoosterPOD: Product Review and Giveaway

*This giveaway is now closed.*

Little Brother is crazy. He’s a monkey. He’s not even 17 months and has been standing up and crawling out of his highchair for the last 2 months.

Big Brother was still sitting in a highchair when he was nearly 2 years old (he got a booster seat for his 2nd birthday…isn’t that a “fun” gift?). We never strapped him in (I know…bad Mommy) but never once did he attempt to escape or climb out of his highchair. In fact, we took the straps off because they just got filthy and were in the way…and now I don’t know where they are.

Prince Charming and I decided it was time to graduate to a booster seat for Little Brother (mostly to save ourselves from the worry of him climbing out of his high and landing on his head). We were so thrilled that we got to try out the BoosterPOD from Prince Lionheart!

Here are some things we love about it:

  • The color:  We chose the green and brown model because we thought it would “match” our house the best while still being gender-neutral in case we decide to have another child who ends up using this booster seat as well. It looks great in our kitchen and the brown bottom helps it blend in with the chair. The green is much less “neon-y” than it looks in the picture…it is a bright and very pleasant green, but is NOT neon.
  • The color of STRAPS:  The straps are also brown! The booster seat that Big Brother has used has white straps…which means that EVERY SINGLE stain shows up. Now we don’t have to worry about our brand-new booster seat looking dirty and dingy from a single use! The stains will just blend in…
  • Dual Straps:  The main reason we needed a booster seat is so that we could strap Little Brother in! Not all booster seats have this feature, though, so we were really pleased that we could strap him in. And he can’t unlatch the buckle (yet). Plus, the second strap secures the seat snugly to our chair.
  • Cushiony Seat (that wipes easily):  I think the seat is made from the same material as the PottyPod, so it is super-duper comfy and easy to wipe clean!
  • No assembly…installs in seconds:  This is a biggie for me (not so much for Prince Charming). I took it out of the box and within 10 seconds, it was ready to be used!
The crazy thing is, Big Brother feels like more of a part of the family now that he is sitting with us at the table in his BoosterPod. And he is much more interactive and talkative while we’re all eating! Now, if we could only get him to figure out how to eat off a plate instead of throwing it on the floor…

  1. I signed up for the newsletter, and I'd love a booster seat, our almost 10 month old is starting to try to climb out of his high chair!

  2. I hope…desperately…that I win! My 32 month old toddler has been kicked out of the highchair for her younger sister, but is too small and incapable of sitting still long enough to sit in a "grown up chair" ….let's just say mealtimes are my least favorite time of the day…did I mention how badly I NEED THIS?! :)

  3. I signed up for the PL newsletter. Thanks for sharing this…our 22 mo. old daughter is sooo ready for a big chair at the table but, not quite big enough to see over the table. She has the luxury of "seeing" how her big sister enjoys her own big chair and wants to do the same. :)

  4. I have signed up for the Prince Lionheart newsletter for their monthly product giveways. I sure hope I am chosen for the BoosterPod as my son is ready to graduate from his high chair.

    Best,

  8. I never strapped my daughter in. I can relate. She never tried to get out of her seat. But, my son is a different story. He is ALWAYS getting out. And straps need to happen for my little guy. I sure would love this! Thanks. [email protected]
