Giveaway: Tummy Comfort™ Positioning Seat
I thought all babies spit up half their meal within minutes of eating it. That’s what was normal for us with Big Brother. He had reflux REALLY bad and it really didn’t get much better until 8 or 9 months. Even once in a blue moon at the age of 3, if he puts a lot of pressure on his stomach immediately after drinking, he will sometimes “spit up.”
Little Brother is the complete opposite. I can probably count on 1 hand the times that he spit up in the first two months of his life! I’m sorta glad that we had the reflux with the first child, otherwise I would have stressed even more if it would have been the other way around!
Remembering back to those days when Big Brother was a baby, we had to make sure he sat angled for at least 15-30 minutes after eating. Most of the time, we would put him in the swing because it was the right angle, but that wasn’t really an option when were weren’t at home. I would have LOVED to have this Tummy Comfort Positioning Seat with him!

I have been fortunate and not had babies with reflux but I remember years ago when I was babysitting a baby and a friend showed up and the baby spit up all over her. I felt so horrible especially since she hadn't been around a lot of kids!

My funny story… Well, one morning I was holding my baby over my head, while laying on my back, trying to get him to smile… He spit up right in my mouth!!!! Yikes!!!!

Oh my do I have many stories of kids spitting up!! I have 3 kids and two of the 3 had reflux and the other just spit up just to do it! :) I guess the funniest stories are when they would spit up all over their aunts who insisted on messing with them after they eat!!

Funny story:
A very good friend came by to visit after my daughter was born. My daughter spit up right into my friend's dress. Lovely.

I had just gotten to church when my little one spit-up all over me, so much that I actually had to go home to change.

I don't think I have any "funny" stories about my babies spitting up…just the usual "down-the-front-of-my-shirt" stories (like inside the front…yuck!!!). The other day I got my first spit up in my mouth, too. Unfortunately both my children have been spitters…however, my second (who is 10 weeks old) isn't as bad as my first.
I just liked Summer's facebook page! Thanks!
Funny story: When we took Chrstopher to the doctor we were going over how much he eats, how often, etc. The doctor was feeling around on his tummy and asked how much he spits up when he does. Well, we didn't get to tell him because Christopher SHOWED him. Let's just hope the doctor keeps an extra set of clothes in his office … OOPS! :)

My son was notorious for spitting up (now throwing up since he is 2 1/2). When my husband came home from his deployment (first time meeting our little man) he was holding JD and we were all having an emotional/happy moment and getting pictures taken and our little man surprise everyone and spits/throws up all over both of us, have to look back now and laugh!

I'll share a story- but it's not really a "funny" one…
I would have LOVED this seat for my first born too. Both my girls were born w/ pretty bad reflux, but they weren't "spitters", so with my first daughter, we didn't get it diagnosed until she was 5 months old. Life was so hard at that time- here with had this beautiful precious infant we loved beyond belief, but she was SO fussy. She appeared to be healthy, didn't show signs of colic or any other health issue, but was really miserable.
I'm so glad I didn't listen to the doctors who insisted she was 'just fussy' and did some searching and finally figured out she had reflux!
Thanks for the giveaway!

my funny story…
My sister was just 16 when I had my first child. Her friends all ooohed and aaahed over the baby, and loved to play with him and make him smile. One day when my son was about 3 or 4 months old, one of her friends was holding him up in the air over his head, making him laugh, when he spit up, all over his face. He was a really good sport about it, chuckled and wiped it off… until my sister reminded him that the baby was breastfed :o)

My firstborn wasn't much of a spitter, but the one time he did have a big spit up, it was on the poor dog! :o) Hopefully our new one coming in May won't be a spitter either!

My husband was changing our son's diaper when he was just a couple of months old. Just when he took the diaper off, our son pee'd, pooped and spit up ALL over the place. It was hilarious to hear my husband yell for help. We both started laughing hysterically at the all the mess. Luckily, he never did it again. :)

One day my mom came over just shortly after I finished feeding my son. She held him & was bouncing him up & down and I warned her that he just ate. She didn't listen and sure enough, he spit up all over her. We laughed about it afterwards, but at the time she didn't think it was too funny!

My husband was holding our first son playing with him. He was kind of holding him up in the air and my son spit up all over. Almost got in my husband's mouth. I could not stop laughing and my husband was so glad he had fast reflexes!

And I remember a time when my next to the youngest son projectile-vomited across the room hitting the other wall where it ran down the wall an onto the carpet. Fortunately this happened in our home and not someone else's!

Our daughter (now 17 months) had wicked reflux – it was heart breaking! We're 'preparing for the worst' in thinking that our second daughter (due next month) will probably have it too. This product looks brilliant!
It's funny how immune you become to "gross things" as a parent – spit up and messy diaper changes were a daily occurrence at our house. My husband and I would crack up at non-parent friends/aunts/uncles when they had their first spitup experience with our daughter – hilarious expressions & reactions!

The 2nd day after my son was born, he spit up right down the front of a friends shirt while she was holding him. She took it so well, but we couldn't help but to laugh!
I liked Summer on Facebook. I would love one of those tummy comforts. My daughter had extremely reflux, it was horrible. She will be a year on Sunday…: ) She still spits up at time!!!

My 3rd and current baby has acid reflux and is being medicated for it. How this would HELP!! Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway! My first would spit up every so often. Once I was burping him on my shoulder while we were at church, and he leaned back and spit up — straight down my dress. Yuck :)

A friend of mine was visiting with her infant son, who suffered from reflux. Right as my dog walked by, the little guy spit up – a LOT! My poor dog was covered! We wiped her all off, but she ended up needing a bath that night because she smelled so bad.

My first child had reflux and spit up from the time he was born. My aunt came to visit him and while holding him he spit up all over her. That was five years ago and two more children later, she is yet to hold one of my babies again. She loves on them, but was so grossed out, she waits till they are a little older now to hold them.

And my "funny" story is of my friend's newborn while I was pregnant with my first child. I went to visit her and to hold her sweet new little girl. She had just finished eating and violently projectile vomited all over me and their couch. Instead of stressing over the mess, the mom was so worried that she wouldnt have enough milk for the baby (since she just threw it all up). The mom bent down to put the baby in a swing and milk came Pouring out of her top! So, my visit ended with spit up and milk ALL over me, the baby, mommy, and their entire living room. Eye opening!
I "like" it as well:)
Would love to have this for our new babe. Liked it on FB!

I liked them. Both of my first two kids had severe reflux and the first one even had eosinophilic esophogitis from so much spitting. My two year old is still on reflux meds to control it! Expecting #3 in June and would love to not have to hold a baby upright for 30 minutes after each feeding every two hours!
As far as a funny story, my son, as soon as he got done nursing on the boppy, would usually lose most of what I fed him and I can't count the number of times I have had to completely change my clothes from his spitting up. We did his laundry about every other day!

It's not a funny story, but I'll share this story mostly because I didn't have problems with mine spitting up (thought I have one on the way, so that may change soon).
There was a time a friend of mine was dealing with a fussy baby so I wanted to help relieve her for a bit so she could have a break. So I tried all my tricks to calm the baby down. In the meantime the baby did spit up all over me, a lot. It was really stinky and my friend was really embarrassed. But I didn't mind. It happens!

I really don't have a funny spitting up story. However, my daughter really had bad reflux when she was an infant. I always had to have another set of clothes ready after feeding her (she spit up a lot after every feeding, and it flew across the room several times). I'm expecting my 2nd child in June…..and would love to have this seat.

My son seems to love to spit up while i burp him in the night. I often end up sleeping on the couch with him in his pack and play.

My daughter did not spit up but a couple of times and my son spits up a ton! I would love this seat to help keep him reclined after eating. I think the funniest time with spit up has been when he spit up and it went right now my shirt!

I have a 3 week old who this morning spit up all over me just as we were packing up to go to church. So much for attempting to wear something nice. What was I thinking?

Our experience was a lot more than reflux. We dealt with projectile clean ups. This Summer Infant Positioning Seat looks so comfortable, I wonder if there is an adult size! I would love to have this for our next generation-just in case projectiling is inherited!
