A Very Unique, Mess-Free Way to Mix Colors

This post might completely gross you out…especially since you’ll get an up-close look at my {clean} toilet.

I’m always looking to do things that are mess-free with as little clean up as possible.  Into my brain popped the idea of mixing colors–in the toilet!

Here’s what you’ll need:  food coloring and a toilet.  Yup, that’s it!

Let your little one squeeze drops of food coloring into the toilet.

Red + Blue = Purple

Okay, so it’s mostly mess-free.  We did get a little bit of food coloring on the toilet.

Blue + Yellow = Green

Red + Yellow = Orange

Don’t knock it ’til you’ve tried it!  :)

  5. That's so great!

  6. THis made me laugh! My friend told to freeze different colored ice cubes while potty training my son…her boys got a kick out of changing the colors in the potty when they peed in the potty…it TOTALLY freaked my son out! lol…this he would think was cool…we will have to give it a try!

  7. The Teacher's Wife says:

  8. Em Maliks Kitchen says:

this is amazing! i unintentionally do something similar with my 2 yr old son who is potty training now. I have those discs u put in the water tank that cleans and makes the water blue, so everytime he pees he says "look mama! its green now!" which maks it very exciting for him!

  9. Play-based Classroom says:

This is a great rainy day activity! I love it! When my son was potty training, we had one of those hanging toilet bowl cleaners (it turns the water blue). Every time he went potty, he would tell me, "Mommy, I made green!" lol

  10. This is a great idea once again… love it!

  11. HAHA love it!!! My son will exjoy going to the toilet even more after doing this one!!! We also did the colours in the bathtub to get him to want to have baths more often. Add a lil bubbles and you can have hours of fun in the bath!!!
