Leaf Lei
Little Brother and I went on a leaf hunt in our yard yesterday while Little Sister was napping. We found quite an assortment, but this would also be a fun activity to do while on a walk or at the park.
Here’s what you’ll need:
Twine or string
Various sizes/colors of leaves found outside
1. Thread the twine through the plastic needle.
2. Go outside and have your child find some leaves and thread them onto the twine.
Obviously, your child will need to use caution while holding a needle (even though it is plastic…it is still sharp). I would suggest that an adult holds the needle and string while walking.
3. Once you get a hearty amount of leaves, tie it off into a lei/necklace.
Little Brother looks like he is being crowned with an Olympic medal in this picture. Haha!
I just love the assortment of colors!
