Easter Egg Nest Tower

Guest Post by Sarah of Repeat Crafter Me

You’ve spent the afternoon dying Easter eggs with your kids and now you want to show them off. This Easter Egg Nest Tower is a simple DIY project that will let your children proudly display their eggs. It would make a beautiful centerpiece or a colorful Easter decoration.

Here is what you need:

–       Multi-colored Plastic Eggs. Remember they should be big enough for a real egg to fit inside (approx.. 2” wide). I found mine for $1.00 at Target.

–       Styrofoam Cone (I used 2 7/8 x 5 7/8 size)

–       Hot Glue Gun

–       Shredded Tissue Paper (optional)

Directions:

Using only the bottoms of the plastic eggs, place a good size dollop of hot glue towards one side of the bottom. Starting at the top, place it at a slight upward angle on the cone. Hold in place for a couple second to set. Repeat around until you reach the bottom of cone. Don’t forget one for the tippy top!

Let your kids fill each “nest” with shredded tissue paper. This will act as a nice little cushion for the eggs. Now let them place their eggs in each nest. They can match the colors of the eggs to the color of the nest, or mix it up. You could also put chocolate eggs in the tower for a special treat. Happy Easter!
