Diving and Fishing for LEGO

Fishing and Diving For LEGO Duplo

We are participating in LEGO Week with some blogging friends! We are simultaneously in full VBS mode around here (and pretty exhausted), so we aren’t able to participate every day but we will get some fun LEGO learning and playing in when we can! This Diving and Fishing for LEGO activity is SOOOOO simple…but it provided lots of fun during our latest visit to the pool!

All you need are LEGO Duplo blocks of various sizes and a bug-catching net (for toddlers). The boys enjoyed diving for the LEGO Duplos that sunk and Little Sister enjoyed “fishing” for them with her net!

When I first decided to throw some of our LEGO Duplo into the swim bag, I thought it would only be an activity for Little Sister…but once we threw them in the pool I was surprised to find that many pieces eventually sank! This worked to our advantage as they became diving toys for the boys as well!

I just tossed a bag full of LEGO Duplo into the pool. Some sunk quickly and others floated for a while on the surface.

Little Brother was the first to get in on the diving fun!

The others quickly joined in. :)  This picture reminds me of sharks for some reason!

Big Brother started diving too…

and then I had to shoo them away for a bit so that Little Sister could have a turn fishing with her net.
