Picture Puzzles For Kids You Can Make Yourself

LEGO Picture Puzzles for kids

We have had so much fun with these LEGO picture puzzles! The boys and I just laughed and laughed at the combinations they created. And the LEGO “puzzles” took only a few minutes to make once I had the pictures developed!

How To Make A 3D Lego Picture Puzzle

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • LEGO Duplos
  • Double-sided tape
  • an Xacto knife
  • photos of your kids, family members, or friends!

Tips For Taking Photos:

This would work best if you take the pictures in the same location and you have the camera the same distance away from the child. Also, when you trim the photos to fit on the Duplos, make sure the child is centered. I didn’t do a perfect job of this, so they aren’t as cool as they could be…but we still have had fun with them!

Step By Step Picture Puzzle Instructions:

STEP 1. Stack 6 Duplo blocks together and then trim your pictures so that they will fit directly on top. I printed 4×6 photos, but they required trimming on all sides to work on a stack of 6 Duplos.

STEP 2. Place a piece of double-sided tape on each Duplo block.

STEP 3. Use the Xacto knife to slice through each crease in your LEGO stack. Obviously, make sure you do this out of reach of your child and put the Xacto knife away immediately when you are finished.

You made my day…especially since I washed my hair twice today because I couldn’t remember if I already washed it or not while in the shower! Haha! Thanks!

What a fun idea! Love it. Going to make this for my daughter, mix it all up, and stick it in with her school lunch. It would be a nice, silly surprise.
