For several years now, I have shared my ongoing admiration for Ivy Kids. Taseea, a former teacher and mother of three, is the founder of Ivy Kids and is truly a genius in my book! Every month, Ivy Kids creates at least 12 thematic activities based on a high-quality children’s book. The boxes are assembled with everything needed so that your child can open the box and start learning and playing on the spot! As you can see in the video below, my kids are always excited to open an Ivy Kids Kit for the first time!
Do I have to check out the book from the library or does it come in the box?
Every box contains one high-quality children’s picture book! So awesome!!! Some books have been familiar to me and some have been completely new…I love the diversity of books that come with each Ivy Kids box.
How many activities should I expect?
Every kit I have received has at least 12 DIFFERENT activities with multiple suggestions for differentiating each activity for the age of your learner.
What is included?
EVERYTHING!!! Unless you need water for one of the activities, you can count on literally everything being included. The book, glue, paint, markers…you name it! You literally open the box and have a month’s worth of activities ready for you and your child! There is also a thorough page of instructions for every activity, including ways to adapt the activity/craft for various ages.
What’s the ideal age?
I would say four to six-year olds are ideal for getting the most out of Ivy Kids. However, don’t let my age recommendation limit you… my three-year old nephew loved his subscription we got him for Christmas and my 9-year old son still gets SO EXCITED when our Ivy Kids box arrives because he loves the art projects included! Taseea, the founder of Ivy Kids, goes to great lengths to differentiate EVERY SINGLE activity for various ages!
Here are the three most recent kits we received:
Are You a Bee?(this one was my kids’ favorite of the three)
And here are a list of all the kits we have received in the past:
There has not been a single Ivy Kids box that my kids or I have been disappointed in. Hours upon hours of planning, thought, design, and creativity go into each box. Even though I often enjoy creating activities for my kids, I am so thankful that MANY days I don’t have to think of something creative and just pull out one of these boxes and let my kids get busy! Best of all, they are learning while playing!
Don’t miss out!
